BIOWITCH celebrates hybrid GA meeting

The BIOSWITCH consortium partners held a General Assembly (GA) meeting on 23 November 2021, 18 months after the project began. This was the first time that most of the partners could meet face-to-face, as it was celebrated in Brussels, Belgium, in a hybrid mode, with the partners who couldn’t travel connecting via Teams, and the rest in person.

The meeting was led by our project coordinator Anna Tenhunen, from Clic Innovation Oy, and the presential logistics were organized by Emma Sidgwick and Ilke Geleyn, from Flanders’Food.

During the General Assembly, the partners reviewed the work performed so far, assessed the feedback provided during the review meeting held in September 2021 with the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU), and planned for the upcoming activities, which will mainly focus on the training, roll-out and replication of the project.

While the first-day meeting was held in a hybrid mode, the second day was fully remotely, and it included a session with the project’s Advisory Board (AB). The BIOSWITCH Exploitation Manager Carla Sebastiani, from Sustainable Innovations, hosted an Exploitation Workshop to receive inputs from the AB on how to leverage the project outputs to maximize its exploitation once the project is completed.
