BIOSWITCH presented at online workshop about innovative solutions applied to the bioeconomy

April 8, BIOSWITCH’s communication manager Ana Martínez, from Sustainable Innovations, joined the online workshop “Innovative Solutions applied to the bioeconomy” organised in the framework of the INBEC Project, where she presented the BIOSWITCH project.

The session was coordinated by CARTIF, one of the INBEC Project partners, and it revolved around the circular bioeconomy and innovative solutions applied in the bio-based industries.

During the workshop, representatives of different companies reviewed relevant issues around the development of a sustainable economy, through innovation and business cooperation, in sectors such as agri-food and water management. They talked about innovative solutions to reduce food waste, technologies for water purification, and sustainable production of bioethanol, as well as different EU-funded projects boosting the switch from fossil-based approaches to bio-based ones, such as BIOSWITCH and MPOWERBIO. Finally, the workshop ended with a discussion table, during which the questions posed by the attendees were debated.
