BIOSWITCH presents its communication and stakeholder engagement strategy at the EuBioNet webinar

The BIOSWITCH project participated in a webinar on Bioeconomy Communication and Stakeholder Engagement in COVID-19 Times, on November 11. The session, organised by the European Bioeconomy Network, gathered several projects funded by the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) to discuss how they are facing and overcoming the challenges that COVID-19 has posed to their communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities.

Our Communications Manager Ana Martínez, from Sustainable Innovations (SIE), presented the strategy being implemented in the BIOSWITCH project in order to maximise its reach. Several activities that were planned to take place physically had to be reshaped and turned into online actions. For instance, face-to-face interviews had to be transformed into teleconferences. In order to maximise them, the partners leveraged the flagship brand owners involved as a trustful source of information and example for other brand owners. Moreover, BIOSWITCH engaged entities that already had business activities closely aligned with the aims and offering of the project.

The upcoming onsite workshops, where the BIOSWITCH toolbox was to be validated, will be transformed into online sessions, which may help reach a wider audience. Additionally, further incentives will be provided to the brand owners to encourage them to test the tool, such as providing them with a sneak preview of it.
